Caroline Lalive

        

OVERVIEW:  Nicknamed “Liner” for her ability to find the perfect line down the mountain, Caroline is the first woman in the United States to score World Cup Points in all five Alpine events in the same season.  A two-time Olympic competitor with her sights firmly set on winning some hardware in Torino, Italy 2006, her best Olympic finish was 7th place at Nagano, Japan in 1998.

2005 World Ranking in Downhill: 11th

2nd Place in Downhill World Cup at Altenmarkt/Zauchensee, Austria, March, 2002

3rd Place in Super G World Cup at Lake Louise, Canada, December, 2001  

2002 U.S. National ranking of 1st in GS and 1st in Combined  

2002 World Ranking of 7th in the Super-G

2001 World ranking of 2nd in the Combined

INTERESTS:  Caroline enjoys all outdoor sports, gourmet cooking, reading, and speaks fluent French.  She postponed a scholarship to Brown University to pursue skiing, but intends on going to college and then medical school after her skiing career.
